In the name of faith, in the name of nation

Devender Kumar

In the name of faith, in the name of nation,
They raped innocent girls and women,
They slaughtered aboriginal innocent people,
They razed shelters and murdered citizen.

In the name of faith, they entrapped the feeble,
Reshaped their minds with ideas like weasel,
Filled them with blindness and dark superstitions,
Declared themselves supreme and royal.

In the name of nation, created rules and regulations,
Kept swords on necks of the people for resolutions.
They gathered devils to serve and make powerful them,
Those devils hid themselves in the faith’s dens.

The forts adorned with brothels to content them,
Songs composed and books written to prove them,
Noble and dearer to Creator, sent to guide the ignorant,
Yet worshipped and followed just to retain them.
