Oh How They Mock Her

GenXer Sharon πŸ™πŸ€

Hurtful as it can be at times, one knows when he or she is being mocked or put down. Snide comments on one’s looks or if she smiles or frowns. Comments on how one dresses what you wear or choose not to. Telling you how nice you look but finding fault in you. The colors you choose, the car you drive or where you live. One may think at times; can I take more of this? Nothing in life is easy without God by your side. He has a powerful way of turning wrongs into right. He confirms how much He loves you just the way you are; if there’s room for improvement though; best believe He’ll open your mind and heart. So don’t allow the mockery to fill your mind with doubt; turn instead to His word and you’ll learn what mockery is all about.

All religions preach love and peace, to treat one's neighbor as oneself but in action they show the opposite. Sad

Sharon, this speaks with honesty about how deeply words can cut…those small comments people think are harmless often linger the longest. I appreciate how the poem turns from that hurt toward faith and reassurance instead of bitterness. The closing reminder lands clearly. β€œyou’ll learn what mockery is all about.” Thank you for sharing this reflection. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
