I aspire to be like the runner I pass on my way to work
Whether rain or shine, for him there is no shirk
I aspire to be like the lady at the daycare
Patient even though the children hit and pull her hair
I aspire to be like the chef no one gets to meet
Passionate in the food just for someone else to have the treat
I aspire to be like the failing musician
Still trying and with so much ambition
If only I could take pieces of those around me
Sew them to myself to become someone I want to be
Take some kindness from the person over there
Take some confidence from my colleague he has enough to share
I would have a scrap basket, so much to choose from
I could be whoever I would want to become

So nice bits and pieces of all that different people have of good. Picked and chosen borrowed to make yourself better. A lovely write
