We met in town on an ordinary day,
No fireworks lighting the sky —
Just two strangers crossing paths,
Not knowing what was passing by.
We started off as just mates,
Laughing, talking, keeping it cool.
Late chats, shared jokes,
Playing it safe, playing it fool.
But somewhere between the banter
And finishing what the other would say,
Friendship turned into something deeper
Without us noticing the change.
You’re the laughter in my quiet,
The punchline before I even speak.
We fit like two missing pieces —
Effortless, natural, unique.
Out of all the streets in that town,
Out of all the people that day,
I’m so grateful we were “just mates”…
Because it led us exactly this way.
And if I could relive that moment,
Knowing everything we’d become —
I’d still choose you as my friend first…
Just to fall in love with you again. 🤍
