We already know that Jesus Christ gave his life and forgives sin,
Started to finish every prayer with a thank you instead of amen.
All this is still relatively new to me, a baby believer since 2020,
A bout of psychosis alongside spiritual awakening, that's me!
Saw those black shadowed demons after slamming the phone down,
Doctor's mouths morphed into the wicked smile of Heath Ledger's clown.
A chemical imbalance apparently but I call conjecture,
No brain scan orchestrated, 0% data to even measure?
Big pharma antipsychotic drugs turn your mind into a wet cabbage,
Stop dark entities in their tracks and throw them in the cold fridge.
I know that this all sounds crazy, I once was actually an agnostic,
Venture down the rabbit hole and they come for your soul,
so better pick up that Bible quick!

Good write SM.
Thanks mate.
Shaun, there’s a lot of raw honesty in this… the poem reads like a testimony still unfolding. You don’t hide the struggle or the confusion that came with the experience, and that openness gives the piece its weight. The urgency in the closing line really lands: “so better pick up that Bible quick!” A very personal share. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
