In a world of duality
It must be a reality
That I can only realize
I am alive
Because I was dead

So true it is there must be an opposite for there to be realization.
Thanks for the read and comment, Soren.
You are most welcome Mutley
Wow, great poem, but I do not believe in reincarnation; Alan Watts seem to be to be a nutjob LOL, it's very easy to repeat what the masses believe into a new language.
Thanks for the read and comment, Demar. Is reincarnation fact or fiction? Well, we will find out soon enough! Anyways, I don't believe the personality gets reincarnated. Was Alan Watts a nutjob? I never met him, but from his work he seems a nutjob in a "good" way. Long may the "good" nutjobs continue to challenge the nutjobs in the mainstream.
maybe nutjob was a mean spirited word to use... I apologize. It just seems like he was very repetitive from the lectures I've listened to. I like people that get to the point
No need to apologize, Demar. I`ve found that spiritual teachers will often repeat themselves (the best ones in myriads of ways). I guess it`s to drive the point home, the point being at heart, a simple one!
Mutley, there’s a quiet philosophical weight in these few lines…the concept of duality leads naturally to that realization about life and awareness. It reads almost like a distilled reflection or aphorism. The final line seals the thought: “Because I was dead.” Simple and reflective work. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks, Tristan. I know this topic is challenging to many. I wonder why.....
🤔 Yeah...I wonder. 🤣 Most welcome, my friend.
