Fighting with memory
a weapon supreme
To vanquish the darkness
and all that’s unseen
Recalling the missteps
of battles long past
Our fury is guided
— time hardened and fast

Nicely said so poetically. Tempered in memory's waters feelings become sharp and hardened but still brittle when met with extreme force in battle.
Amen, thanks.
My pleasure my friend
Kurt, this one feels sharp and focused… the idea of memory as both weapon and guide gives the poem a strong inner tension. It reads like a quiet meditation on how the past shapes the fight we carry forward. The final line lands cleanly: “— time hardened and fast.” A concise and striking piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks Tristan. Memory has always seemed to be to literature what gravity is to physics.
Indeed. It has. Most welcome.
