Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Andy Hunter

obsessive compulsive Disorder

Mundane tasks spin around her mind

She can’t relax and will seldom unwind

Compulsive actions endlessly repeated

And she cannot rest until they’re completed

Persistent thoughts inside her brain

Are looping continuously again and again

She never sleeps but looks barely awake.

They’ve taken over, there is no escape.

Compulsive Behaviour Therapy may give some relief

With a psychologists help she will slowly perceive

That the repetitive looping inside her skull

May not be beaten but can be controlled.

She’s gradually learning to undermine

Those recuring thoughts taking over her mind

She’s not there yet, but it’s a positive move

And with care and help things will only improve.
