Sounds of life

Allie561

Notice of absence from Allie561
I’m going to take a little break, life has been overwhelming lately and I seem to be too busy to write poetry. I should be back somewhat soon. I’ll post or comment every now and then but it probably won’t stay consistent.

Once again I’m sitting, sit, sat

And up jumps the cat, pat, pat

I stir my coffee, clink, clank

Take out my pen, click, clack

And open my notebook, crinkle, crackle

Listen to the wind, swish, swoosh

Hear the old wood of the porch, creak, crack

What a good time to be alive

Familiar sounds that reassure the noises of comfort and joy. A lovely write about how sounds are so reassuring and make one at home. Lovely

Thank you Soren. I tried to capture that peaceful feeling.
