It will be alright on the night.
Isn't that what they say?
We've had our own
It is a big day
Wearing rags is no badge of honour
Who shines their shoes
Dad jokes at the dinner
What have we got to loose
It's a big day
How many pairs of shoes
Dresses
More Dresses
I can't choose
I don't like any
Now I've lost my chain
Carrying too many bags
I bet I dropped it
What a pain
It's only one day
But all the preparation
It will be alright on the night
Then
Off on vacation!

Cute and reminiscent of such occasions. Nicely written it brings nostalgia
I would have probably preferred a piss up, and a shag in a tent.
We don't always get what we want.
Or what we need.
Valiantstar, the poem nicely balances excitement with the chaos that comes with preparationβ¦ shoes, dresses, lost jewelry, and all the small stresses that build before a big moment. The repeated reminder that βit will be alright on the nightβ ties it all together with a light touch of humor. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Tristan, you've overtaken Orci as my biggest fan!
Yay!!! π€£ I mean, I'm happy to share the spot with the ol' chap! Quit slacking, Orchi! π€£ All jokes aside, love your work, my friend and I am glad to support! πΉ
Happy holidays! And may the opening night of new tomorrows be promising ππ»ποΈ
Hope you have a swell time .. Neville ππ
Thank you, one step at a time.
Is it a walking holiday then ? If so, tread carefully ππ
No there yet, the Wedding is though!
