Here is a small hedgehog
sitting softly outside
on a summers sunny day
sitting under a tender talking tree
chatty comfortable confident
whilst the small hedgehog listens
talks back in its own way
Lightly seen by the leaves
protected as if by a umbrella
looking after hedgehog
sheltering
comforting
helping her
when she feels so small and fragile
needing a friend to be there
and for now that friend happens to be the tree
the tree that talks with its branches
talks with the leaves in whispers
the hedgehog understands what the trees saying
even though we can’t and to us
it’s just leaves drifting in the summers breeze
and to us , there are no words
the tree talks and hedgehog hears every word
we just see them in company
not even knowing their talking

Caring Dove, this is very gentle and comforting… the image of a hedgehog quietly sitting beneath a talking tree feels peaceful and kind. It reads like a small moment of friendship with nature. Lovely piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️
Thankyou 🙂 I was writing it whilst feeling dissociated and yeah I was trying to distract myself from how I was feeling . And yes I liked writing this .. it took my mind onto something nice for a while
Indeed. The power of writing, for sure. Glad that worked, my friend. I know it can be quite the challenge. Thank you for your courage and openness too. You are inspiring to me and others, for sure.
Enjoyed the read - it may be true too- there is communication between flora and fauna too
Thankyou very much ))
