My mind plays a trick, imagining her sick.
Someday it will come, I shall become unravelled, undone.
The "Mama says" I take for granted now,
Will turn to "said," though I don't know how.
When that day draws near, I will be consumed with fear.
How do I love without my creator?
Lifting me high, forever my savior.
Singing loud to radio songs,
I'll miss our daily singalongs.
You are my bright and guiding star,
No matter where or who you are.
When floating she is my rock, the key to my lock.
We are nowhere near close, to the day I'll hate most.
When my ears no longer ring with her laugh,
I will know I've lost my other half.
Never grow old, you are too precious to behold.
I love you Mama.
