Lion roars and fury erupts

Narayan Gadagkar

Why we are so casual to  our mother planet ?

A life sustaining loner  in the universe known till date

War is exclusive to humans and not for other species

Lion roars and hunts when its belly is empty

Then lets  the Dear go, when not hungry

It has no hostility  with a Dear or a Boar

While  we the humans distinctly differ.

Since Gorillas, Chimps evolved into homo sapiens

Brain weight grew and the so-called intellect bloomed

Enmity and hatred took shelter in the minds of men

Excuses groomed for bigotry and sectarian strifes

Centuries passed and no lessons learnt from scars.

May be the largest military in the Mid East

Other side,  a  mighty  super power of West.

Who will judge, who is right and who is wrong

The future pages of history will certainly record

When winners and losers alike rest in graveyard.

A closed-door hegemony crowns its self-styled commander

A handful will declare him as supreme leader.

Other side, an open free society nurtured democracy

Where the global talent, skill and intellect amalgamate

On toes  to act as global police and ready to decimate.

B-2 bombers, Tomahawks for deep strikes

 Missiles, Drones, interceptors, and blasts

Regime change, the choking point  Hormuz strait

The war technology now discussed straight

In each and every  household, world over

We watch television and internet how lion roars

and in every home, on every phone fury erupts
