they were hopping,
grating against my skull,
their faces grinning as if only topping,
my gaze long dull.
Gazing down at the wooden floors,
their faces jeering from above.
Two faces,
clear,
destroying everything I once held dear,
their eyes as dark as the pit they threw me in.
Their faces as grimy as any pigs stine,
as agonizing as the end.
I stare up, up at them.

If this is family then a most horrible one it is. Dark and most disheartening.
