Solo refuge

Nicole Pritchard

Standing room only in my heart tonight
No space for shadows, no room for light
No regrets, just broken promises align
I'll find my strength in the silence I design
A solo refuge where I'll learn to thrive
And in the emptiness, I'll finally arrive
No room for more disappointment's sting
I'll make space for what's meant to be
Til then, no space is made, I'll just be
In the silence, relaxation's found
It's not lonely, just not yet free
But I will in time, and clear my space
