WHEN DARKNESS INVADES

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

When darkness invades
I will lighten the edges
Cradle in my arms
Moments transcending
I will look to the skies
Tenderly remembering
The clouds with their whisper
Upon Heaven entering.

I will hold but gently
Your fingers weak grasp
As the world and its horror
Slowly is passed
Into a light
So bright to be seen
I will give you my Heaven
Upon me you lean.

It is written in thought
Its ink unseen
Upon hidden paper
As if in a dream
Take my hand now
Dont be afraid
As darkness it falls
For me be brave.

Beautiful words of rhyme fall throughout this poem of coming death in metaphor of darkness. A lovely poem of faith and passing the threshold. A fave

This reminds me of not wanting to die alone. I think most people are like that. Nice ✍️
