In the winter
Ice clings to the
Withered leaf
The pond
Now glass
Reflects images
Of a tree reaching
For the unreachable
Harnesed with might
Even in biterness
The snowflake
Listlessly drifting
Is the answer to elegance
Creatures sustain
Amidst frigid conditions
Forgiving snow
Gives way to the
Deer weight
At my window
I am enamored
The grace of winter
The delight in all
Things white and
Christened

Beautiful frozen images here Katie painted on a white canvass it depicts well the season in a blazingly crystal picture of poetic grandeur. Well done
Thank you so much. I am always so grateful for your comments. Your words make me feel like a poet.
You are most welcome Katie everyone is a poet inside it is just a matter of putting the inside out for others to see.
Beautifully crafted winter imagery.
Katie, the image of the pond becoming glass and reflecting the tree reaching for the unreachable really stayed with me. That moment feels symbolic and still at the same time…nature stretching upward even in the cold. It’s a lovely visual that anchors the poem. Nicely done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Made me shiver so much my glass of milk near turned to butter ... write on Katie B .. Neville 😎👍
