Little Moments

Akshadha_Joshi1310

I try not to let the feeling of impending doom overtake me,

Try not to feel like the world is ending,

Try not to drown while going with the flow,

Try not to go absolutely insane.

So I focus on the small moments around me instead,

Like my friends' laughter that summer afternoon,

Like my favourite music that's become a part of me,

Like my habit of meowing back at cats  (they love me I swear).

My what ifs may haunt me but the moon tells me it'll be alright,

It may seem scary,

But the flowers bloom along with me.

Because even when the world feels like it's ending,

There are always good friends,

There are always my niche interests,

There are always comfort foods,

There are always my books.
