Sade

madalynsamantha

             Sade.
by: Madalyn S Lullenberg.

I hear Sade playing softly

in the background.

You’re always right around the corner,

but so far away.

You’re never here,

but you always come back to play.

You always make me laugh.

Sometimes you even make me cry.

A mountain of feelings inside me,

bubbling to the surface

like the sun

on a hot summer day.

Truth be told,

I was in love with you.

I needed you.

I wanted you more than any words

in the dictionary could convey.

I wish you would’ve stayed.

My love.
