Is it possible to miss someone that stands beside you
The cries you hope to ease the pain but make it only bearable
The hurt you try to tuck away
For your heart just to remind you
I’ll dress the wounds when no one's around
Embrace the pain where it can't be found
To hide the hurt that finds no home
From the numbness the bottle brings me
I’ll try to drink away the pain when all it does is hurt me
Yet, to no compare the pain it brings
to stand beside someone that can't love you
