The hollow heart

Carmen Luca

The hollow heart
keeps a steady drum
like an old clock
forgotten on a stand

The heart’s master
has forgotten
to listen
to its chimes

He’s caged
by his own mind.

The mind forgets its age feeling but a child. It does not notice that the body's warrantee is up. Well crafted
