(un)held

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤
if i were to
disappear—

my visage transparent,
clear—

would it, as a dis,
appear?

would it well up
fear

or would some
cheer?

most, i’m afraid,
would sneer

and eventually
forget their peer.

regardless, it’s become
clear

i was never held as
dear

enough for anyone to hold
near.

    I would care

Clever wording and meter encase an emotion and thought that one is not esteemed or felt to be of any importance. Sad and most probably a distortion of thought that many have for almost everyone has someone that cares about them in some way or other. A very nice piece with which most all of us can identify with at some point in our lives. A fave my friend
