Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤

if i were to
disappear—
my visage transparent,
clear—
would it, as a dis,
appear?
would it well up
fear
or would some
cheer?
most, i’m afraid,
would sneer
and eventually
forget their peer.
regardless, it’s become
clear
i was never held as
dear
enough for anyone to hold
near.

I would care
Demar, that means more than I can put into words…sometimes it only takes one voice to break through that kind of silence. I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you, my friend. 🪞🖤🙏✨
Clever wording and meter encase an emotion and thought that one is not esteemed or felt to be of any importance. Sad and most probably a distortion of thought that many have for almost everyone has someone that cares about them in some way or other. A very nice piece with which most all of us can identify with at some point in our lives. A fave my friend
Soren, this means a lot…you saw both the craft and the core of it. That space between distortion and lived feeling is exactly where this piece lives, and you named that well. And your reminder that connection exists, even when it feels distant…that lands. Grateful, my friend. 🪞🖤🙏✨
You are most welcome Tristan each person needs to know that somehow they will be missed. I think of all the poets on this site and how many I miss from the past that have died or left and how I miss their poetry. So few read others poetry and even fewer comment and let the poets know how how their work affected them. If more just took the time to let others know the impact that their poetry has it would make a difference in each writer's life. You are one a core of writers on this site that constantly review others work.
Good write T. Not now Popeye, you've had too much WCAT air time of broadcasting! lol.
Orchi, haha totally…Popeye’s been yapping a bit much lately. The airwaves are starting to feel like airweights! LOL! Always appreciate you dropping in, my friend. 🪞🖤🙏✨
I doubt you will ever be as alone as you indicate above .. and if I'm wrong, there's room in my bunker for a little un .. wonderfully well worded with wicked whymes .. Neville 😎🖤🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐈⬛🌻👍
Neville, haha I love that…“room in my bunker” with a side of wicked whymes. There’s humor there, but also real care underneath, and that means a lot. Always appreciate you, my friend. 🪞🖤🙏✨
it seems you can feel ya way write through me brother T .. 😎🖤👍
You rock, Neville. If no one has ever told you that, shame on them! 🤘😎 Cheers, mate!
It’s also curious to be so near but so far and vice versa🙏🏻🕊️
arqios, yeah…that tracks. Near and far at the same time…there’s something quietly heavy in that. I appreciate you naming it, my friend. 🪞🖤🙏✨
Oh the misery of it all! I don't believe a word of it.
(Try rustling up a positive response out of that, Tristan😂)
Dave, haha I see the game…call out the misery, then dare me to light up a bit. Alright, alright…consider this my official, limited-time less-than-positive response. Here’s the heat…get ready, it burns quick: 🔥💨 🤣 There. You got it out of me. Don’t expect a sequel…or will there be? 🤷♂️😂 All jokes aside, I always appreciate you, my friend. 🪞🖤🙏✨
You are a 24 Karat good sport, Tristan!👍
I mean...I try at least! 🤣 I appreciate you, Dave!
never fear- those who read and appreciate your verse will definitely miss it/you - so keep them coming, even if at longer intervals....
