I love you more

Joseph M Marion

I Love You More

I love you more — a phrase we say,
Not to measure love in some grand way,
But to whisper softly, to gently show,
A depth of feeling you already know.

More means my love grows deeper still,
More affectionate, with tender will,
Each day it blooms, more bright, more true,
A love that grows because of you.

It’s not a contest, a race to win,
Nor a tally kept on love within.
It’s just my heart, in words made clear,
Reaching out to hold you near.

I love you more — a simple phrase,
To light your heart in tender ways.
Two souls entwined, a shared embrace,
No need for numbers in this space.

So when I say, “I love you more,”
Know it’s not a score to keep or store.
It’s simply how my heart can say,
“I love you more, today and more and more every day.”

A most wonderful love poem that speaks of words versus actions. Nicely written
