City of stars, do you ever sleep?
Or do you listen to the vows we keep?
In every glow, in every star,
You mirror who we truly are.
Each star a spark of ancient flame,
Whispering its secret name,
Lightening the night sky with grace,
Scattered diamonds in the space.
City of star, so pure, so wide
With drifting clouds, your only tide,
You bloom above the darkened sea
A garden of infinity,
Only in your light we lose and find,
The precious pulse of humankind
A thousand stories, so near and so far
The magic weapon that is called star
City of stars in the velvet night
Where silence rule the silver light
No buildings, walls or streets below,
Just endless skies in gentle glow.
And when I lift my eyes to see
Your pure, eternal artistry
My restless heart is healed from scars
Because of you, city of stars.
City of stars, so wild, so free
You guard the night’s eternity,
And in your glow, both vast and far
We learn how small and grand we are,
And when the day is about to come,
I will be waiting for the stars hum.

A most beautiful write of the night sky and man's eternal look away from himself to what lies beyond. Lovely
