Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. abstract,
present it as fact—
why?—
is the plan to
distract, while
behind the scenes,
you pact to act—
but your narrative
lacked—
and honestly,
i find your abstraction
devoid of satisfaction
hear me, this is no
detraction—
it is not merely a
reaction—
rather, it gains
traction because
truth in
action
outlasts any faction.
now, please,
don’t you react
because I presented
a fact,
not just some fear,
and in that word
lies the will to act,
for knowledge
empowers
and nurtures
courageous flowers
no matter how high
power is stacked.

A most interesting concept. Abstraction a pattern that attracts our attention to something familiar but unidentifiable something similar to the familiar. It holds our brain for an instant in time just long enough to be aware of it as a pattern different than the background yet it is not anything that can be applied and holds no identifiable truth. But then truth itself as a concept is an abstraction. Clever wording and rhyme make this whole poem an abstract work of art.
Nothing abstract about Popeye & Co. Why not? WCAT! lol.
Straightforward truth (inasmuch as I can know it) wins the day every time for me, Tristan.
