WHY
Three letters
commanding attention
Three letters
the bone of contention
One syllable
bigger than Everest
One syllable
birthing our interest
Questioning forward
questioning back
Answering tightly
answering slack
Words that fall silent
words that delight
Trapdoor to darkness
— gateway to light

I was always taught that it was one question never to ask as it begs for justification and has no real answer. A great write Kurt
Thanks, and I agree. It is a 'bone of contention.'
You are most welcome my friend
Great read!
Katie
Thanks again, Katie
Kurt, that “Trapdoor to darkness…gateway to light” line really caught me. It flips the whole poem in a breath…showing how the same question can either close in or open up. That tension is where this lives. Beautifully done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks TR. The ultimate question never finding the answer.
