I guess I’m always trying to have my cake and eat it too
But isn't that the point of having cake...eating it? LOL! That phrase has always felt weird to me. (Guessing maybe the idea of wishing you could eat the cake but keep it pretty and untouched at the same time? 🤷♂️ How language changes over time.) Anywho, enjoy that 🎂, bro! It's why you have it! 🤣

Demar, this lands with a sharp honesty…“they love poetry / oh! but they hate the poets” says it all. It’s that contradiction we’re quick to point out in others, but slower to own in ourselves.
