Inferno Within

Siva Pranav

Words that penetrate deeper than sword,
Scars that fortify the heart,
Flames that temper the soul,
A mind that refuses to rest.
Love that the soul yearns for,
Burden that the heart bears,
Solitude—punishing, yet redeeming.
A stare that burns even atoms to ashes,
A roar that sends chills down the spine,
Wounds that burn for ages,
The kind of tired that sleep cannot fix.
The anger that consumes—
Powerful, yet harmful,
Unapologetic and cursed,
Vicious and binding,
Raw and distorting.
It strikes hard—
And strikes the self.
Falling to depths beyond imagination,
Yet carving a path to rise again.
For the takeaways that come only the hard way.
