CONCRETE

Concrete

Wherever you see an oak, an olive, or any other tree,

Take the saw in your hands and hack them away!

Surely a tree won't be the appendix of progress.

From concrete, we shall cast a wonderful flowery grove!

And the sea, too, must be dammed with concrete where needed.

Concrete is so fancy everywhere now.

Fewer lawns, let everything be fenced in with concrete.

Come on, please, and smooth me out a fine sidewalk here too.

A great satire where concrete would work so well for a bed with full canopy and mosquiteiro to keep the bugs out.
