Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤
sunbeam swirls
atop asphalt swill—

what will become of us all?

A rare short poem… might have to call you the prince of concise 😅. All jokes aside though, great poem and I love the question at the end. It’s something I think of often…

    • Tristan Robert Lange

Demar, haha “prince of concise” might stick 😅, but not one out does the king...just saying! But seriously, I appreciate this…that final question is exactly where I live with this one. It’s simple, but it lingers. Glad it connected with you, my friend. 🌫️🌈🕳️🙏

Lábrea tar pits come to mind. We will all be frozen in time and what more appropriate way for a generation to be remembered but in petroleum products. Well written Tristen so brief but then so is life as well. Loved it

Soren, I love where you took this…because yeah, that idea of preservation and entrapment at the same time is something I circle back to often. Your read hits right in that space. Much appreciated, my friend. 🌫️🌈🕳️🙏

Abstract poem in brevity wow! Kudos!

Plz also read and comment my newest poem too

        • Tristan Robert Lange

My friend, I really appreciate this…this one was all about keeping it brief but letting the image and question do the work. Glad that came through for you. I’ll swing by and check yours out as well. 🌫️🌈🕳️🙏

        • Friendship

Well said. Your poem reflects a sense of existential questioning and uncertainty about the future of humanity. The phrase “what will become of us all?” suggests a deep concern for the collective fate of people, possibly in the context of environmental, social, or existential crises.

Friendship, I really appreciate this…you named it well. That question is meant to open into something larger than the self…environmental, social, existential…all wrapped into one quiet line. Glad it resonated with you. 🌫️🌈🕳️🙏

Can we throw any light on why Popeye & Co............ Don't finish that. WCAT! lol.

            • Tristan Robert Lange

              No...we can\'t...and why? You are right. WCAT! 🤣 🌫️🌈🕳️🙏

              • orchidee

Who - or what - is WCAT? We knows! lol.

                • orchidee

Erm, let's NOT shed light on Popeye's antics! lol.

Than you, Thomas! Much appreciated! 🌫️🌈🕳️🙏
