The arrival of spring

Vasile Serban

A white sea of snow.
A thousand stars gathering in the sky.
The dazzling aurora borealis
Calls me in a captivating dance.

I fear everything will disappear
When, at the first spring hour,
The birds will chirp,
Waking us from our reverie.

In the cold, icy lake,
The stars are mirrored in the sky,
And in the ripples of the waves,
It creates a mystical scene.

Under the thick layers of snow,
Lie the dark mountains that fear
That the beautiful white blanket
Will soon melt away.
