I Thought I Knew my Home

Vanna

Notice of absence from Vanna
I come and go. Sometimes I will post everyday for a week and then I won’t post for months.

I never thought my home would be a place full of slamming doors and yelling. I always thought I knew my home. I never thought my  home would be a place full of mother’s tears and dull sadness. I thought I knew my home. I never thought my home would be full of things being thrown and a hole in the wall. I thought I knew my home. I never thought my home would turn me into a shield, trying to hide the yelling from my sister so she can keep her childhood a little longer. I thought I knew my home. I never thought my home would be filled with fear. I thought I knew my home. I never thought My home would be a place that would cause me such fear and sadness one day but joy and togetherness the next. I thought I knew my home. I never thought that my home could be one of those homes. I thought I knew my home.
