My talking stopped,
as his heart dropped.
Turning,
his stomach churning,
I left.
My presence but a memory on his mind,
despite it all,
he has never been anything but Kind.

Well written!! I am assuming this poem reflects on a breakup due to it being very "one-sided".
Yes! It's just supposed to be short to help me learn english more
I have to say that there is a special fun and playfulness to the cadence and word play with rhyme in this short poem that all work so well with the theme. It is a bit haughty and conceited but fun as well. Loved it a fave
Quiet hits hard here—your leaving leaves the air thick, but his kindness hangs like smoke you can’t shake.
Even in absence, the poem keeps him human, gentle, real… a small grace against the churn of everything else.
