Indeed we all love our homeland despite its flaws and weaknesses. Well said

Do I love it because it’s my home or simply because of the people in it?

    • Demar Desu - 德马尔·德苏

Hey hey hey! I’m asking the questions here 😅. But all jokes aside great question. Apart of me feel like it’s both, my home made me who I am, I love who I’ve become and I love the people in it that has helped me along this path… but I love the world much more! Especially those on my poetic side!

Haha sorry Demar! Nicely said, I’m thankful for the people I’m around online and in person.

I have long known there is a difference between love and like. Do I love my country? Most definitely. Am I liking it right now? Hell no. There it is. Wonderful question. my friend. And yes, this is all we know. Well done! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

I very much so love my country, The U.S.A., and just like a son, daughter, niece, or nephew; you almost always support them. When they mess up, you are disappointed and when they do good, you are proud. Right now, I could not be any more proud of my country. You are right. We have our ups and downs. No country is perfect, but I think that we are at a highpoint.
        Keep writing.
        Stay righteous.
        Persistence is key

I'm one of those in between. That is to say, I like both the country I live in, the country my family comes from, the country I appreciate a culture from...
I love cherry picking the versions of my countries. But that's not the right way to go about looking at them
I appreciate the collective, the art, the humanity of a country and its landscape.
All countries, like humans, fall into some sort of downfall. But, unlike humans, since a country is a collective I suppose it stays more in a state of constant 'downspiralling' from an individual perspective.

There is bad and good indeed.
