Power is Not Proof

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤
do you not know?
have you not heard?

A truth seldom acknowledged in that people seek advice from those in power and the famous and rich. So much said in so few words my friend.

    • Tristan Robert Lange

Soren, this means a lot…you caught the core of it so directly. There’s something unsettling about where people look for answers, and you named that clearly. Grateful for this read, my friend. 🕯️🖤🚪🙏

      • sorenbarrett

        Always most welcome Tristan

That Chair could look somewhat like the one for the Enthronement of a new (and female) Archbishop of Canterbury here in the UK today! An enthronement, no less. ooh!
Meanwhile - we do know - we have heard - of a certain one, but WCAT if folk ask us for all the details! lol.

        • Tristan Robert Lange

Orchi, haha this gave me a good smile…there’s something both grand and a little unsettling in that comparison. Always appreciate your eye, my friend.

An enthronement indeed. That image carries that weight of authority, but also a question about who really belongs there. That aside, yay for your first female Archbishop…that’s huge. Keeping her in my prayers as she leads. Tough position to be in, no doubt…being a woman won’t make that easier…sadly. Here we are in the 21st century…still an uphill struggle.

Meanwhile, Mary Magdalene is over here pushing Peter away saying, step aside, Mr. P…I actually witnessed the resurrection and was the first sent out (apostolos in Greek) to preach the Gospel. Pffft!

          • orchidee

Mr P might be Popeye in disguise. He celebrates toe resurrection, or revival of spinach in the annual ceremony at Easter. So he's a bit pagan! lol.

          • Neville

Now that's a fact .. and if only orange was not this years black then the world could breathe sigh of relief n relax .. in my opinion anyway .. Neville 😎🖤🐈‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐧👍

            • Tristan Robert Lange

Totally, my friend! Totally. Appreciate you saying it, Neville. 🕯️🖤🚪🙏

            • arqios

Ah, yes. Might makes right! Does it really?

              • Tristan Robert Lange

arqios, haha…right? That’s the question, isn’t it. People act like it’s settled truth, but it never really holds up when you sit with it. 🕯️🖤🚪🙏

                • arqios

If we can sit in these situations. When we fight for what is right the ill-gotten are at the frontlines or buffered by pawns. 🙏🏻🕊️

                • Teddy.15

Could this be a bit of trump truth? LOL kudos if it is... 🌹

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

Teddy, haha…there’s definitely some bite in there if you want to read it that way. Hard to deny it. I wrote it more open than just that, but man…it’s tough not to see it in there. Appreciate you jumping in, my friend. 🕯️🖤🚪🙏

                  • Doggerel Dave

I do know, but have rarely heard, Tristan. A succinct reminder I'll vote for any day.👍

                    • Tristan Robert Lange

Dave, I think that’s the tension…we carry it, but don’t hear it said nearly enough. Glad it resonated with you, my friend. That’s two votes in favor…yours and mine, at least. And judging from the comments above, we might even have a few more to keep us company while the rest of the world runs off to its folly. LOL. It is what it is, no? 🕯️🖤🚪🙏

                      • Doggerel Dave

At bottom most know, but for reasons various, choose to keep very quiet...
