What if we were meant to meet this way?
Locking gazes ,
Engulfed in flames
Playing enervating games
Unbeknownst to my innocent days
Igniting glimpses infatuated
Was the daisy chain belated?
Searching for clues-so complicated
What if our days were suddenly diminished
To a single minute ?
When we felt each other's eyes
Leering
While lights changed shades-
Blue,green,red -bright as day -
Shadowing your dazed face,
Rhythm around our waists,
Dancing the night away ,all ablaze,
I wonder if your mind Ever roamed
To some other place
Could we truly be meant to meet this way?
But lust only lasts in the dark
If you risk your finest cards
If you choose to be burnt
In torrid looks, in your morals' theft
So I got caught in a forlorn hope-
Were you meant to be loathed
By the star who shines all alone ?
Unaware of pain,
unaware of death,
Unaware of the quiet treasons of men.
And if it is as they say:
"Long glances are proof of hate"
"No one stayed idle and won the game"
We were never meant to meet this way,
Yet the flames of our ardent yore
Will burn brightest
before they fade along.
