If such were true let's give it mind,
The Painful Fact we'd surely find:
For could they grieve the Birds and Bees,
The Flowers, the Shrubs, the Mighty Trees.
The Fish in the Sea and the Rippling Stream,
The Jungle life to the Fields of Green.
Would they feel Remorse if Mankind died,
Not give a Damn, No tears Cried.
The Cleanest Air above the land,
No Greenhouse Gas this Globe to span.
Old Mother Nature free once more,
From Septic Wounds and Painful Sores.

An ecological poem that speaks to the damage man has done and that the planet may well be better off without him. Nicely said
Your quick off the mark.
Yes , I've been meaning to write this for a long time. Other versions never quite got anywhere.
Thank you for Reading.
You are most welcome Kevin
Humans -the biggest pollution (not merely polluter) on earth. I wonder what will follow after Homo Sapiens buries itself in its own shit or blows itself up. Will cockroaches manage to evolve?
I wonder too.
Ever seen The Planet of the Apes?
Thank you for Reading and the Comment.
Kevin, this carries a hard truth… the idea that absence might bring relief rather than loss. The movement from reflection to that final image gives it a quiet but heavy impact. Strong piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
