Notice of absence from Vanna
I come and go. Sometimes I will post everyday for a week and then I won’t post for months.
I come and go. Sometimes I will post everyday for a week and then I won’t post for months.
I pray and I pray, one day you won't see us as prey.
I scream and I scream, we are not a dream.
I weep and I weep, we are not to be slaughtered as sheep.
I cry and I cry, we aren't yours to deny.
I pray and I pray, one day you won't see us this way.

A strong write about a sad subject that begs the reader to understand. Well executed.
Thank you so very much.
You are most welcome
Part of me fears the day will never come, but I hope I can make a change. Great poem Vanna.
Thank you very much
You’re very welcome!
Well said.
Thank you
Vanna, there’s real force in this…a repeated cry that builds and refuses to fade. That stark imagery, especially the line about being slaughtered, cuts deep, and the return to prayer keeps it grounded in something hopeful even as it aches. It feels urgent, necessary, and honest. Powerful piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
