The Blasphemy of Holy War
Weaponized religion claims the innocent.
Factions deem missiles “prophecy,” escalation “faith.”
Christian zealots rush Armageddon.
Messianic settlers exalt land over life.
Shiite militants force the Mahdi’s chaos.
Hardliners curse nations as Satans.
Each invokes God.
Each spurs the fray.
Not Judaism.
Not Christianity.
Not Islam.
Qur’an: one innocent slain slays humanity.
Jesus blesses peacemakers.
Sages: save one life, save the world.
Most crave safety, dignity, life—
not apocalypse.
Peril is any creed sanctifying violence.
Extremists mirror each other,
fed by fear,
fueled by trauma,
shielded by silence.
Refuse dehumanization.
Reject gore-glorifying words.
Hold your side accountable.
Shun God-invoking warmongers.
Faith demands:
no child’s death sacred.
no bomb holy.
no war divine.
Zealots’ fiery paradise
burns the innocent.

If I have you right (and even if I haven’t) I would argue that the majority of conflicts where religion is the banner under which war participants fly, that is only a superficial element in the catastrophe. Real reasons are oppression persecution and suppression.
I believe that to be the message in your poem, but I could be wrong….
