Future Fades

It starts with a reminder,

A question,

How will I find her?

Then my mind races,

And my heart chases,

After something out of reach.

I’m a firm believer

Every person has that one

Sent by God,

That they may one day meet

And face all odds.

To be as one,

Together,

Forever.

Whilst I know

And have faith,

I cant help but think

“Maybe that’s not my fate.”

I fear I’m a hopeless romantic

Who will forever be alone.

Then I’m reminded

There is a chance.

There is someone out there

Waiting for me.

And so with new faith

On the cloudiest of days,

I cry out to you…

I see you shine.

Your hearts already pulling mine.

The future is uncertain,

But that’s fine.

I know we’ve not met,

We’ve yet to watch the sun set.

Yet to share our mindsets,

But still I can’t help but

Miss you every day.

Do you hear my cries?

Can you feel my spirits eyes

Gazing into yours

From across the way?

I pray every day

That even when your sun doesn’t shine

You will still be bright.

I pray a smile on your face

Shinning on the dark shade

All throughout evil’s parade.

I pray for high spirits

And gentle care.

As the thought of you hurting

Leaves me in despair.

Do you feel my

LOVE

For you?

I’ll try my best to feel yours too.

As even now I hurt without you.

I cannot rest

Until my vision manifests

Into reality.

I can’t wait to finally unite.

Oh, how my soul will shine bright

As you burn out it’s shadows.

For evil will parade my mind

For all of time

 Until it is drowned out by you.

Hold on

Just a little while longer.

I’ll be waiting on the other side of your trials.

I’ll be there when you are ready.

And if it is me

Who needs to see

From a different pair of eyes,

Then I apologize.

I’m sorry for making you wait.

Trust me I’m on my way.

To ease your pain.

Each day that goes bye

Is another step I take.

It’s getting hard to hide

From my hurt inside.

But I can see

As the day leaves

My plans crash

And my life turns,

My mind races

As my future fades

Into uncertainty.

The further I go

The more anxious I get

That the dream I’ve always had,

And your blurry silhouette

Will fade into nothing

And be gone forever.

If you are out there,

If my desire is true,

Then one day,

Lord willing,

I’ll get to stand with you.

Until then,

Hang in there.

Whatever you go through,

Whoever you come across,

Don’t let them get you down.

For I will join you

On your journey

Soon.
