Together

GenXer Sharon πŸ™πŸ€

“We’re in this together” the aged old motto. If this were so, why is it so hard to follow? Why cherry pick who is worth it and who isn’t? I’m reminded in His word where He says; “we are all His children.” I don’t recall the part where God says “ you can only be here once you are perfect.” What I recall? “Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened.” “We’re in this together”? Are you sure? Those are words I’ve heard enough of in this world. Together means to put your differences aside and try to make amends. To forgive. To let go of anger and bitterness and to try again. Don’t twist my words; I’m not saying to tolerate abuse of any kind. I’m only asking once again do you know the whole truth? Have you ever tried? Tried getting to know someone you were taught to hate? Either due to rumors or someone’s past mistakes? Have you ever looked beyond appearances to the person’s heart? This would be an ideal place to start. So before you believe all you hear and see; why not try to ask; “is there something you need?” If we’re ALL in this together why not start today? Regardless of appearances; he or she may have much to say.

Sharon, that question β€œare you sure?” after β€œwe’re in this together”…that’s the moment that really lands. It stops everything and makes the reader sit with it. Strong piece. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
