A New Day

Shahla Latifi

When he clasped my hand, tenderly and affectionately, my soul revealed hidden passions through my eyes, as vast and clear as the sky above.

Once, far from craving admiration, preferring solitude, unacquainted with the desire for touch or others' affection, now my thoughts are consumed by his nearness amidst the distant mists.
I eagerly await the next moment when his gaze grazes my skin, his faint smile illuminates my senses, awakening like dawn’s first light, dew-kissed like a young rose in the morning breeze, reveling in the promise of a new day.
