There is a light that never goes out?

Sharvi

There is a light that never goes out?

There is a light that never goes out they say

But I'm a lamp who thrives on kerosine

I've lost my spark ever since may

The golden glow in me is all rusted

I was betrayed by the people I trusted

My blood's dried up

They've put me in a dungeon

Saying I'm too old to be used

Too dirty to be touched

Too ugly to be kept

Now all that's left of me is the kerosine that's aged

And a match yearning to be lit

While the wick in me has accepted defeat

And still, there is a light that never goes out they say

This was nicely crafted with a philosophical meaning and well put at that
