Tell Us The Truth

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Living in a land where everything feels wrong,

Lies are accepted like a low vibrational song,

Smelling bullshit, those newsreaders pong.

Get rather annoyed, can see through the tricks,

Every headline reads like a sweet Pick and Mix,

Tell us the truth, total transparency been missed.

Lies on top of lies each for its own motive leaves the viewer and reader unsure of even themself. Then there are the stupid that believe to a rabid ferocity and are willing to kill to prove their veracity. This poem opens up many areas of the modern media and its effect on us all

I hate the mainstream media, thank you.

It has become such that I don't trust any media they all have an agenda

Shaun, that “Pick and Mix” line really stands out. It flips something familiar into something unsettling…like truth being packaged and chosen at will. It’s simple, but it lands with weight. Nicely done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Will they tell us the truth about a certain one who has gone home?! lol.
