Top of my lungs//Tip of my tongue

Edthepoet

I wanna walk down

A distant river

I wanna fly round

The Unforgiving sun

I wanna talk to

My unborn daughter

I wanna scream at

The top of my lungs

I wish I did have

The guts to call her

I wish I could fight

Against this urge to run

I wish I never

Used those words against her

I wanna scream at

The top of my lungs

Past all them i love you's

Left on the tip of my tongue

I wish I did have

The heart to tell her

I wish I could smile

While our song was sung

I wish I never

Turned those words against her

I wanna scream at

The top of my lungs

Past all them I love you's

Left on the tip of my tongue

A poem that speaks to all the things we wish we had the courage and energy to do. Nicely written
