Skinny boys are pushed as the new screen heroes,
I can't buy into most of these clown panted zeroes.
Like to watch old action films and lift weights?
How many of us suddenly feel out of place?
Never painted my nails or wore skinny jeans,
This isn't as disrespectful as it initially seems.
Let people do what they want, I don't care,
But don't point the finger and poke the bear.
Weak people are much easier to control,
Agendas are at play so try to stay whole.
They now call masculinity toxic,
For just being manly, stop it!

The pendulum swings and today the idea of male is unpopular as heard in this poem. It speaks of femininity being emphasized and the desire to return to the masculine. Nicely written it makes its point well.
Indeed and thank you.
You are most welcome
Good write SM. Erm, one who has gone home looks skinny. heehee.
Lol, wonder who.
Shaun, this carries a lot of direct energy…a pushback against feeling sidelined or redefined. The lines about identity, control, and staying whole all tie into that central tension. It doesn’t try to resolve it…it just puts it out there as it is. Well done! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Cheers, yes agendas behind everything unfortunately.
Totally! It's the human way!
