Obedience

2781

Am I, or am I not obedient...

A real yes man:)

Doing, as expected: with no knowledge, and no plan.

Far from the life of Riley..but I don't give a damm---better to bless with a little; after all it all comes from my dad...

Who owns the cattle on a thousand mountains!

(Some think I am mad)

I'm here to proclaim what's his is now mine. So if you think you can rob me? Go for your life..

Why? Because I remember the verse; and those that bless me will never be cursed...

He supplies my every need: pays me my worth...obedience believes.

So why should I worry? There's nothing to worry about...except of course obedience: 'I don't want my lamp to go out.'

I lay in the dark: Searching for a line.

The lamps are trimmed, but ready to shine...

Valiantstar, this carries real conviction… it doesn’t hesitate, it just speaks. There’s a boldness in it that holds steady all the way through, even when it turns inward at the end. It feels lived, not just said. Strong piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

A wonderful poem of the dilema of obedience and freedom. Nicely composed it presents its material well and is strong in its wording
