A face I once knew
Now strangers
A bird that once flew
Now eternally still
Words that used to be true
Now filled with lies
A ship once with a crew
Now with Davy jones

Nicely done. Your poem reflects on relationships, memories, and the inevitability of change. It contrasts vibrant, lively images with their current desolate states, focusing on the emotional weight of these transformations.
Thank you for your detailed feedback friendship. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and read.
A poem of discovered deception. Well written in such nice poetic form.
Thank you very much Soren, it’s appreciated.
Most welcome
Allie, this hit me hard…there’s a quiet unraveling here that just keeps tightening. Each turn lands a little heavier than the last. That shift from what was to what is…that stays. Powerful piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
I really appreciate your continued support, it really means a lot. I’m glad it resonated so much with you.
Great poem A… ahh the past and present. Isn’t it a bitter sweet feeling how change can be
Yes and the change can bring either things we like or things we despise.
What have you been liking these days? Has the introduction of spring made things better?
I’ve enjoyed baking and experimenting with making drinks. I got a big tin of matcha recently and some butterfly pea flower tea! Spring has definitely helped with the warmth and sun. How about you Demar, what have you been up to?
Matcha is my favorite; what do you like to bake? I’ve never been a baker type more of a stove top cooker. And as far as what I’ve been up to; moving across the country 😭
I love baking really anything but I mostly make cookies just because they don’t take a lot of time. I’ve made homemade pies and I even made matcha cookies one time that were delicious! I hope your move goes well! Hopefully wherever you’re going presents better opportunities for you.
Matcha cookies sounds amazing… my favorite type of cookies I think are called snowball cookies they’re fluffy on the inside and good crispy… I think the recipe is just butter sweet condensed milk flour and salt… and these days I feel like a drifter just going from place to place trying to find my home… but next month will be a big change again
Those sound really good and similar to Mexican wedding cookies! I wish you safe travels, I hope you’re home comes soon.
Change is inevitable and strangers and friends pass us by like shops in the dark.
That’s a great analogy, thank you for your comment.
it is so true in life too as i have experienced
