Remark

Vishakha

Fallen, the symbol of tangled mane,

a beautiful spark, a quintessential snark

Hidden dark aesthetic leaning on

something sane, leaving the mouth agape

The face we always suppress,

but dig deeper to see if we possess

The rusty corners of which are obvious

as a result of staying for eons

The dust embedded like a shield

Protecting the one unhealed

This is a psychologically deep write and the hiding of pain. Very nice wording and the bringing in words from other past famous poetry in such a meaningful manner. A fave

Vishakha, “the dusty embedded like a shield / protecting the one unhealed”…that’s the line that anchors everything. It turns the whole piece inward in a really clear way. Beautifully done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
