Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤

silence surrounds us.
darkness is our lasting state.
i breathe in new light.

Ain't nothing unlasting about Popeye's antics. Turn that light on there - but not to see what he's up to! lol.
Orchi 😂 so now the light exists, but purely as a warning system…not a discovery tool. Popeyeus Glug Maximus Solus remains active, unseen, and absolutely unlasting…Wan Ken somewhere muttering “oi be bonkers, Billy (who's Billy.?..🤷♂️)…leave the lad to his mysteries.” And of course, none of what the heck any of this means is coming across the airwaves on WCAT! 🕯️🌑🌬️🙏
Now Tristan this senryu sounds strangely spiritual and more creationist than anything else. It speaks metaphorically of light as knowledge as well and can be taken in various ways. Nicely done my friend
Soren, I really appreciate this…your read of light as knowledge and the openness of interpretation fits right alongside the intent. It’s meant to hold more than one way in, and you caught that. Thank you for engaging it like this, my friend. 🕯️🌑🌬️🙏
You are most welcome my friend
Always love when you give us a haiku, great work. Life and death… one of your best themes keep up the great work T
Demar, I really appreciate this…your read of the life and death thread is exactly where this one lives. It’s a theme I keep coming back to, clearly 🤣, and I’m grateful it resonates with you like that. Thank you, my friend. 🕯️🌑🌬️🙏
The unlasting... Ooh a cryptic senryu. Something tells me that even though you so desperately want the light even if it comes it won't last. Quite a magnificent Senryu my dear Tristan. 🌹
Dearest Teddy, I really appreciate this…your read of that tension, the desire for light and the question of its staying power, fits right alongside the piece. It’s meant to sit in that space without resolving it. Thank you for seeing right into it, my dear friend. Here's to both of our Saturday senryus. ☺️ 🕯️🌑🌬️🙏
A very deep and a bit provocative statement, although rather persuasive. Sorry for delay in responding. A fave, my friend!
